Welcome to Wright's Canyon River Ranch

In the beginning, when my husband and I purchased this property we planned on purchasing alpaca. After 10 years owning the property it was time to put the plan into action. It has been slow going and there have been setbacks. You have to purchase the animals but first you have to learn about them. What do you feed them, what shelter do you need, who does the shearing? Then gradual purchase of a herd was started. That's when the fun begins! Finding the right direction for the farm and learn what goals to have takes time and also experience around the animals. Learning their ways is important and teaches you many things. Now, finally, all is coming together. There is still much learning and changing but we now have a direction.

The goal of Wright's Canyon River Ranch is to breed alpaca for fleece quality and temperament. All animals are halter trained. We hope we can start showing them in the near future. We believe we already have many stunning, potential award winning animals for both sale and breeding.
